Touring the little town of Baler, we visited one of their most iconic historical landmark. The childhood home of President Quezon's first lady, Aurora Quezon. She is also the woman who's province Baler is part of, named after. It's a small but well preserved house. Aurora Quezon was the wife and first lady of the Philippines' second president (first of the commonwealth under the U.S. government) Manuel L. Quezon. Formerly known as Aurora Aragon, She was born and raised in Baler and this was the home she grew up in. Like I said, the place was well preserved even though it was small. She was known for her humanitarian activities and charities and as well as being the first ever chairperson of the Philippine Red Cross.
